I just uploaded Arturo Romero's 12 Ancestoral files to the "files" section.
This is great Arturo. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly look through
them but hope to get to them soon...thanks!
Now this should be a great example to everyone. . .common everyone send
in your files and we'll really be able to see if our Genealogies cross
somewhere in Jalisco or Zacatecas.
Last time I counted there were 29 members of the group and these are the
folks that have sent in their genealogies:
Angie Godina
Arturo Romero
Evie Villegas
Joseph Puentes
Maria Cortez
Rich&Kitty Cortez
Now I know that a couple of you sent in your work via email (PLEASE
resend me your genealogy directly to: makas@...) so I can then
take the information and put it into the "Files" section. Also in the
future I'd like to keep the genealogies strictly in the "Files" section
so if you must put them in an email send them directly to me and I'll
upload them to that area. Don't forget the "message" archives are now
open to the Public. . .if that makes a difference to anyone.
. . .so at most there are 10 of you all accounted for and 19 that have
not submitted their genealogies. Now I understand that some or even most
of you might be new researchers and don't have the deeper and extensive
lines compared to what has already been submitted, but that doesn't
matter. Submit your info and as we do our research we can keep an eye
out for your relatives.
(Currently as new people are requesting to join the group I am sending
out a letter trying to get a verbal committment that the joiner is
willing to submit their genealogy and that they are serious researchers
doing their own research. . .if I don't get a favorable reply to my
email I won't be accepting the applicant to the group.)
Also don't be caught up in having to send in only a very complete line
of genealogy. If your work is not ready and if it might not be ready for
quite sometime just send in your bare bones directline genealogy as far
back as you have it. Just give the names, dob's, locations and sent it.
