1819 Unifications: Leaños, Rivas, Castañeda's

Just a message of encouragement. what I've been  doing is spending my 
weekends on the telephone cold calling my different surnames asking if 
they might have come from the Santa Maria de Los Angeles/Colotlan, 
Jalisco area. Back about 3 months ago I called all the Leaños in El Paso 
(8 total) the very first one told me that they came from Jalisco and to 
call his relative for more info. I called and it turned out that they 
came from the Santa Maria area. It also turned out that of the 6 people 
comprising his parents and grandparents that these names were there: 
Leaños, Rivas, Castañeda's and Rodarte. The next day I got busy and in a 
span of about 5 hours managed to trace the Leaños line back 5 
generations. . .but I just could see any connection to our families. I 
studied their line a little more that week and sent them what I found. I 
didn't hear from them and kind of lost touch with them for a while and 
just recently recontacted these family but not the exact person I was 
talking to the time before. They told me that the other person I talked 
to never shared any of the info I sent them so I told them I would 
resent it. They told me they had been interested in searching out the 
family roots.
. . .anyway as I was getting the info together to send to them I 
realized that I had new information that I hadn't previous had when I 
did the original study on their line. Carol Turner and her Dad 
graciously provided me with a marriage record for my GGGG grandfather 
Miguel Leaños and Maria Ignacia del Muro. Miguel's parents were Juan 
Jose Leaños and Maria Antonia Ledesma. As I restudied the info before 
sending it off to them in El Paso I found this couple. . .I couldn't 
believe it.
after 184 years our families have a great chance of being reunited.
