Please Introduce Yourselves: Me First!

I'll start.

I'm Joseph Puentes from North Carolina via Maryland for 18 years and
California for 26 years. I'm searching for relatives in the Santa
Maria de Los Angeles/Colotlan, Jalisco area. I currently know of
Puentes that live in Huejucar and it wouldn't surprise me to find some
 ancient roots from there also. I believe that before Jalsico my Diaz
family roots came from the Tlaltenango, Zacatecas area. I also believe
that my Puentes roots came from the Sombrerete, Zacatecas area.

I'm sorry to report that I haven't made any positive connections with
other people on this group but I think that I might be related to
Carol Turner via my Muro roots and quite possibly to Maria Cortez (are
you related to Rich Cortez?) through my Diaz and/or Puentes roots.
Time and study will prove this out.

. . .but even if none of us ever make any positive connections between
our families I think we can benefit from sharing our discoveries on
this group. I also believe that if we are aware of who we're looking
for we just might find info that can be beneficial to our mutual research.
